5th June - 11th June 2020 / Week 7 -  Week 9 Ali Nazhan Al-Baharin bin Azmi / 0328763 / BSE Typography / Taylor's Lakeside University Task THE LECTURES Week 7 - Understanding Letterform Eventho some uppercase letter forms looks symmetry but in fact is not symmetrical. A stroke weights can play a lot of role to make that letter much more elegant. Also, the x height generally describe the size of lowercase letterforms. However some letters some curved strokes as it needs to be higher than the median. This is to ensure that letter to appear to be same size as the vertical and horizontal strokes they adjoin of other letters. Also, we need to know the counter-form of the letter or counter, like the spaces in the middle of the O called a counter form. 15th May 2020 - 29nd May 2020 / Week 5 - Week 6 Ali Nazhan Al-Baharin bin Azmi / 0328763 / BSE Typography / Taylor's Lakeside University Task THE LECTURES Week 5 Sir gave instruction and explaining the assignment before the start of consulting session for exercise. He said that there's 3 type of editorial text that I need to choose one of it. Then we need to use our knowledge in our type expression exercises and formatting text and do our project 1. Also, the lecture video talks about leading, paragraph spacing which both of it must be the same to achieve cross alignment. I also learn the name term pilcrow. The video also talks about line space vs leading, indentation, widows and orphans. 13th April 2020 - 8th May 2020 / Week 1 - Week 4 Ali Nazhan Al-Baharin bin Azmi / 0328763 / BSE Typography / Taylor's Lakeside University Task THE LECTURES Week 1 For the summary of first week of lectures, we have a meet and greet session with the lecturers Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul. The lecturers are friendly with the student and also helpful throughout the class. The first class started with Mr Vinod explaining the module and also show us how to get attendance by replying through Facebook reply. In addition to that he also briefly explain and commented on few of the student blog which one of it is mine (thanks for informing me about the missing 'Further Reading' in my blog Sir!). He also mention that we students need few applications to be installed so that we can do the exercise given by the lecturers.
